Later iron block steel head 5.3l 04ish and later bottom end will take 700hp.

Factory heads will not. But block and rotating assembly will. You can do this cheap to get started.

FYI racing is worse than crack.

 

He's having the Carrier shop in Toledo install it. I was going to toss 30$ and dinner to say thanks but instead he's paying...um 350$ after hours charge ....175/hr labor.... I'm like dude I've got a drill and a hammer. It's not that hard I don't expect...
But the new company is nice people.
