Is it legal to get an overweight ticket on axles after a crash ? I recieved a ticket for being overweight on my drive axles and i was hauling rock so theres no telling of the load shifted at the time of the crash . Has this happened to any of yall?

Of course that also depends on how bad the wreck was and how hard a breaking occurred before hand. If it was a 5mph fender bender in a parking lot it's unlikely to move. If you rolled over a couple times, yea an over weight citation would be hard on the officer to justify. -
Sounds like insult to injury.
Coffey, D.Tibbitt, skellr and 1 other person Thank this. -

If funny how "crashed into" and "crashed into" can have two separate meanings not to mention a "crash". -

Rocks are pretty heavy, and I would not think they would shift that much after a minor crash.
Minor, because anything very serious would leave the truck as a pile of rubble.
I would love to see a scale ticket picture of the pre-crash load.201 Thanks this. -

I guess he wasn't all that worried about it. He hasn't been back.
