Yeah, at least we have the ability to go on "special driver status," which means that we can move around a lot at any speed if need be while on break. Up to 55 mph and a mile radius.

That's not exactly "old school I do whatever I want." But it gives us more flexibility than the current rules.

Training a child to shoot is vastly different than letting them play with a gun.

Not really anymore. Today with the cancel culture, if you train a child to be around and properly handle weapons, some do-gooder will report you to child protective services and have you brought up on charges. I also started shooting at a very young age, and in high school in the mid 70's, myself and most of my friends had our rifles and shotguns hanging in the back window of our unlocked pickup trucks ready for an after school hunt. Now days if you swat your child on the back side it's considered child abuse, when in reality, raising a child with no limits to their behavior is more abusive.

For the most part, this doesn't really happen in real life. The internet is a very amplified version of our culture and beliefs.

Of course you occasionally run into that one person who didn't get the memo, and they #### everything up.

I've lived in California for over 40 years. Tell me again how it doesn't really happen in real life. My state government writes the memos and forces them down our throats.

Yep. That little monster grows up to be a self centered hole, until that 1 faithful night in a bar. When he runs his month and a 40 yr old does a tap dance on him.

Yeah, what I said before does not apply to California. People are insane out there.
