This one i can help you with! For the record--they can only go 62 mph--go over 62 more than 2 times you get a free 3 day vacations without pay! No matter if your goin down the mtns--you better not hit over 62! They are overall not that bad to drive for--depending on your dispatcher. I was home every weekend--normally not till midnite on friday and you was expected to leave out on sunday afternoon. I mostly got 2900+ miles per week in general. You stay up north a lot or i did. Not too much nyc but a lot of new england states. I was bases out of NC and you would normally get a GA run to get home but they expected you to leave out way too early. I did many hazmat loads. They all suck at communication but no worse than any other company. The company was pretty decent to me though--I would work for them again if i felt like stayin up north! LOL Gotta be careful with the hazmat loads though--they were always overweight. I had no problems in general with DM Bowman. Most loads were live--a few drop/hook but not really a lot. I dont really have a lot bad to say about them. They are an ok company to work for but gettin home every weekend--your not gonna get rich!

yeah they are big on the so called fuel savings...they know everything about the truck at anytime, they record your RPMS, they hate over revs, a lot of stuff like that
where you from Treetopflyer -
I will inform you of what i know. There is 5 terminals--2 in maryland, 1 in pa, 1 in Indiana, 1 in NC. Otr drivers get home everyweekend or what I say 1.5 days--not a weekend to me but people differ. They are an ok place to work but you stay on the east coast pretty much all the time--north and south. They suck at paying though. Low pay--but you get miles. They kept me hopping pretty much. Normally leave out on sunday afternoon and home friday nite sometime--it was usually after 9pm for me but sometimes before 5 pm. They are not as bad as some of these other "beginner companys" -- could be a lot worse i am sure! Any other questions anyone has--i may be able to help with.

Hey all. Just started CDL school today. I already have a pre-hire with Gordon Trucking so I'm really all set but I would still like to look into other companies and was wondering if anyone knew anything about how good of a company DM Bowman is. The main thing I'm looking for is good mileage and decent hometime. I should be able to take whatever BS a company wants to dish out. Thanks.
