I was at the Loves in Fernley Nevada last night and in the course of about an hour I saw about ten trucks going through the lot a very high rates of speed.
So tell me guys...Why do you do that? I see it all the time but this time I decided to try and see what the motivation is behind this stupid behavior.

Maybe it's bacause they can't go more than 60 MPH on the road and that's the only place they can "go fast".

But seriously, I'd really like to know why some of you have to go so fast in the parking lot.

I to have seen this many many times in a truck stop, and if anyone ever unexpectadely comes out from between any trucks at that moment they will be killed right there. I really dont get it why drivers need to go thru the parking lots at 30 mph, totally ridiculous.

Well some people do it because they have the "I don't give a rip" attitude. There's no reason to go that fast in the parking lot. If a driver is running behind? Guess he or she should have left sooner. If you're trying to impress someone? Doesn't work. It's not funny at all and most importantly it's unsafe.

What's even worse is you call out one of these fools on the CB and they tell you to F off. Wonder how they will feel if they hit someone in the lot cause they had to be in such a #### hurry.

I see this a lot at one of the only TS that I frequent anymore. Every week while backing into a spot ( which it's a very small lot and very tight ) these idiots come flying through the lot both directions trying to get by before you can park. I don't even budge for them and just keep backing. What I do like to do is take my ssssllloooooooooowwwwwww aaaaaazzzzzzzzzzz time while backing in so they have to wait even longer since you can't get by on either side when someone is backing in. Sometimes I'll do 7 or 8 pullups even when I'm straight and could back right in to the spot just to make them wait longer. And yes as someone already said it's usually the guys who are governed the slowest on the road who seem to want to run 40mph across the parking lot. :biggrin_25513:

Whats wrong with taking your time backing in driver? I'm just being safety conscious and helping them be safe by slowing them down sounds like a win/win to me. :biggrin_25525:

    Isn't that the "Trucker way"?......:biggrin_25523:

Kind like the conversation on CB last night.....
All these drivers whining about Cali regs and TX no idling ect......

Then of course someone always says that we should just "Shut it down"......
Right......Has there ever been actually a time when more than two drivers could agree on something?????:biggrin_2556:
