Good evening, how are you guys paying your drivers that are out of state and use a completely different bank then you have your business account set up with. Payroll companies are very expensive to use unles you have a large fleet. Im asking those of you that have 2-5 trucks and have employees that have banks that are not in your surrounding area.

    Why not just pay ACH?

I might not be qualified to answer since I have 10 trucks and pay W2.

ACH is probably my way to go, for some reason it isnt as easy as just going thru my banks website. I have to get business approval by my bank. Yes its a business account thru Suntrust.

    Mail them checks.
    Or.
Can you open check accounts at your bank for each driver. Give the drivers debit cards on those accounts. Then deposit and they can withdraw the money using the card or write checks.
    Good luck

Yes, it does take some setting up for sure. Just another piece to the trucking puzzle. Most everyone I employ wants direct deposit vs a check. I’m able to do it through the website but it’s a special area not normally seen by your everyday online banking users. Like you mentioned, more of a business area.

    ~$75 a month, $4.75 a transaction

Take your pick, surepayroll, Patriotsoftware, ect. ...
