Experienced but not OTR

To my knowledge, they're quality companies.
Other drivers that work for those companies have posted on here about that.

 

I'm glad you know what you want. I'm a otr driver. Out side of family life. I don't know if I'd ever do. Local. Good luck no matter what you decide

 

They definitely have company drivers.

 

Main thing about pay is accessorial pays.
Reefer companies usually have good accessorial pays; at least the ones I've worked for do.
CPM isn't as important as accessorial pays, which are pays for when you're not driving.
Accessorial pays are for:
Stop Pay.
Drop & hook pay.
Detention pay while loading or unloading.
Layover pay.
34 hr. reset pay.
and on and on, depending on the company.

 

Talk to the recruiter and ask about the wife riding along. Most companies have a rider and pet program, but a few don't.

Local and OTR is totally new game, take your wife in the truck now on a trip.Some don't like it. If youlike spending hours waiting to load or unload, or waiting for a load, then you will love working for any large OTR Carrier
