4k a week? Impossible to average, but accidentally I can see it. Not legally. No way. You have to post-trip. 7 days a week. that's 1.75 hours. If you're running 4k a week, you're fueling daily. Another 1.75 hours per week. Drops/hooks/pretrips are min. 30 minutes. 2 lds per week # 2000 mi per load... 2 more hours. that's now 5.5 hours. No eating, no bathroom, driving 11 hours straight every day? 11 x 65 x7 = 5005 mpw. 11 x 7 = 77 hours illegal. 10 x 7 = 70 with no time left for anything, how can this be? One cannot legally average 4k per week, it's impossible.

oh and the 1000 k per week for 1000 bucks? I want that job!
-
That's what I was thinking!! $1,000 for working two days a week!!??
On the weekly mileage, the speed limiters become a factor with a CRE driver... -
I was an England company driver. I was teamed with a ####### that couldnt drive yet supposedly he had been out a month before me. I felt like a trainer. After two weeks I told my DM, Tom Scott, that he was going to end up destroying the truck. So he got kicked off. A month later I had the turbo shot crap as I was pulling into Salt Lake City. Stopped there for a day while they fixed it at the England yard. Then they sent me to Pochatella, ID with a Conway load. Droped it off and sent my empty call (was 9pm so I wasnt expecting any response that night) and pulled into the Cowboy Truck Stop across the street. 4 pm the next day I called to see if I had anything since I didnt recieve a q-comm message. I was told they were working on it. Same thing the next day. Decided to go grocery shopping and spent $80. Day after that I called again and was told by my DM that Operations had taken me off the map cause it was time for them to turn the truck back in to Freightliner and I was to drive back to SLC without pay. He said that he would either pay me $25 a day if I stayed at the England Hotel (more like a mental ward) or he could help me find a ride home until he could find me another truck. Got back to SLC and he found me a ride to Burns Harbor, IN where my car was. I ended up donating my $80 worth of groceries to other drivers in the yard.
Here is the kicker... I never heard back from them. I did however have friends that this also happened to at the same time. The ones that chose to wait in SLC never received $25 a day. The ones that went home to wait never heard from England again. England laid off 1/3 of the company fleet. I called them to confront them about all this and they said in the 90 years they have operated, not one person had ever been laid off. What a load of BS. England is a suck company. They dont have miles. I barely cleared 1000 miles a week because they wouldnt give miles. Yet when I did have a load, I was always early. -
Tom was my DM when I was in regular fleet. I'm going round and round with CRE legal right now since I had $5400 in my reserve accounts after turning in my truck and leaving (with 30 days notice). Got my settlement pdf document for 10/06.....Guess how much my "repairs" came to?

I decided to continue with England with the truck that I ordered. My first settlement tomorrow, had it not had cash advances or prorated insurance charges, or even my past due from last week the day after I got the truck, I would have cleared well over $600, and that's not even 3,000 miles.
My settlement for next week, by my math should be $830.75, and that's after all fuel, variable charges, etc. This is with 3,596 miles all done legally, with 6.37 paid MPG. Oh, and I even took an advance, so it would be $930.75 if I hadn't done that.
Making it with England isn't easy. I'll make no claims it is. But, if you pay attention to your numbers it can be done. I'd be happy to post my settlement proving it, but as I'm posting from my phone, I can't. -
Good luck, ronin. England is a bunch of con artists.
Malefickus, you sir would happen to be one of the lucky ones... for now. You will get screwed in the end. My first trainer was grossing $3k a week. He showed me his settlement when I was with him. He has a brand new ProStar that is paid off. He was the school director at the New Jersey school when it was around. He recently quit with 2 months notice. England gave him less and less miles. Horizen (England owned leasing company) told him he owed another 50k on the truck. His reserve was kept by England to pay the 50k. When I saw his settlement, there was no truck payment on it. It was for sure paaid off. -
Exactly - boggles my mind, just how stupid they think people are.

stlwaco: We all got fewer miles for a while there. I've been with England for a while (will hit 2 years later this month), and I have noticed that when I really pay attention to my numbers, MPG, miles, etc. I end up making more money. I know there will be weeks where I get only 2,200-2,500 miles but there are also these weeks where I'm getting almost 3,600 like I am this week. My DM usually gets me an average of 2,700-2,800 unless I request a slow trip.
Having said that, thanks for the heads up
. They did recently try to snake $467 from me, then tell me it would be fixed later, but I made them send it back to me via Express Code and refund the transaction fee for it as well. I guess ya just have to talk to the right people.

3500 to 4000 miles a week for $800 to $1000 dollars?Have you all gone crazy? That not even drivers wages. Insanity: to do the same thing over and over hoping for a different result.
