Be sure to carry a head removing tool. You'll most likely need to use it on dispatchers, and load planners........

Spare flashlight batteries.

Spare fuses, if your fuse box is in the dash, grab a Phillips and write down applicable ones 20a,30, etc.

Spare toilet paper to throw out the window when the team you USED to play for wins as you pass thru.

Spare If you have tv,microwave,CB, make SURE you have applicable everything cause good luck finding a spot out there to park to go in2 wallyworld. TS charge IMMENSE high prices for things simple like fuses, etcetc. I ALWAYS bought at least 2or3 six pack plastic bottled Pepsi. The TS charge at least $1.99-$2.10 a bottle( I bought the 1liter kinds). Payed only $2.50 a sixer.

Spare liquid bottles ESPECIALLY windshield washer fluid in winter(your next stop back in the yard to replenish supplies might be far and few between). Many companies will pay for it at a TS BUT, be prepared many runout because the weather and the trucks didnt deliver it(stinkin truck drivers).

Your running boards might have holes in them, I put bungie cords across them, EXCELLENT for sure footing in winter. Also put one bungie for EACH side by your fuel tanks(ITS FUEL TANKS, NOT GAS TANKS,remember that) EXCELLENT for attaching your hoses for fueling and doing your windows REMEMBER, some hoses dont "CLICK" off when full, they just keep on a flowing. Made in Taiwan.

Spare(if you smoke), cigs cause in the winter a stranded driver might need some OR you could EASILY be stuck with everyone else when they shut down the Big Road and drop the gates when snow is veryvery nasty and deep, full fuel tanks when headed out west in winter and get your butt to the tv if your in a TS for a weather update

Spare lightbulbs, headlights. Lynchmob these here and above can be gotten at your yard OR purchased at a TS but refer to GREAT wisdom above about TS running out(LOL) This way you WONT be like other drivers when warned in the DAYTIME, you got a headlight out and they dont bother stopping. STOP,you got it,change it. Its always better to stop,get it outta the way,cause you dont need a cop giving ya a ticket, cause ya wanna keep on rollin R I G H T?

heavy duty zip ties can come in handy for alot of things, rubber bands, a hammer or mallet. gloves, pair of coveralls and boots for the winter, wd 40, rags

 

GOOD one Freebird, I COMPLETELY forgot about those plastic zipties. EXCELLENT for a "quick fix" when a trailer airline is a daggling or any line for that matter. I went to BigLots(hope I can spam them), and bought a tube with 5 different lengths for ONLY 6bucks(got about 100 in all)...the TS charge 3.99 for just TEN...good one.

By all means have a hammer you can swing at those old, rusty, needs grease, couldnt budge witha stick of dynamite, ancient, stubborn trailer pins so you can slide your tandems. YES, you JUST might get stuck with a rusty old trailer nicknamed, "Wonderful World Of Corrosin Rollin Trailer". I always thought my Irish heritage would protect me from getting those...YEAH RIGHT.

Also, when you scale at a TS, move your tandems TOWARD the problem, after you bang the heck out of the trailer pins listed above.

Get loaded, go STRAIGHT to TS(donot pass go,donot collect 200dollars), pull up on scale, leave scale and go to safe place and park, get your scale ticket, then apply tandem moving rule toward problem(overweight part). THINK...12000 34000 34000 Youd be surprised brother at just how many times Ive been asked about the weights.......restores my faith in "nowaday" schools....students dont need help...THE SCHOOLS DO.
