Yeah I figured I was probably going to need to get all my endorsements. I mean if I eventually even want to do tractor trailer work with UPS I need doubles and triples and hazmat probably.
Finally made it guys.

I met several package delivery drivers who were making nearly twenty bucks an hour, and this was in 1996.Sirscrapntruckalot, Texas_hwy_287 and audioace Thank this. -
If this is the ups small pac job. I wouldn’t leave for nothing. My buddy is topped out as a package van driver making 100k. M-F home every night weekends off and holidays. You’ll make less driving a CDL truck for a different carrier Work a crappy schedule nights or weekends. Yard hostlers make 100k a year at ups. If you eventually get into ups feeders your making 150k a year but it’s nights.
Package van driver doesn’t sound glorious but you can’t beat the schedule while making probably more money then most truckers.
Most newbie drivers make 50k-60k a year and have to live on the road for months at a time. Even if you find a local position it will pay pretty crappy or be a crappy schedule.
I’d stay at UPS even if I don’t use my CDL. You’ll make more money and have time to spend it.77fib77, Brettj3876, Sirscrapntruckalot and 4 others Thank this. -
Also UPS did not carry HAZ materials years back, I'm not sure if they do now. I vote for UPS for your job, but, be advised, you will hustle and be expected to work, no goofing off.
Sirscrapntruckalot, Flat Earth Trucker, Texas_hwy_287 and 1 other person Thank this. -
