I spoke with Mario today and apparently he accidently booked me a ticket to SLC. lol. So he is re-booking it for Riverside. I should get my confirmation and everything tomorrow.
Im pretty much done packing and just sitting around waiting. #_# Let the anxiousness ensue.
Oh and....my supposed team partner seems to be flaking on me...which after thinking about it may be a blessing in disguise.

    The Challenger Thanks this.

I fully agree, I teamed with a guy I met in school, we figrured 2 knuckleheads in a truck were better than one. Truth is unless you are married teaming at central doesn't work. We were running SOLO miles as a TEAM, had 3 different fleet managers. As a team we were getting 30 cents a mile split. Which means we were only getting 15 cents each.

So running solo miles meant I was giving away half my paycheck. The highest milage week we had in 3 months of teaming was 3100 for the truck not each. We did A LOT of sitting, a team truck shouldn't stop.

That was just my experience yours may be differnt, but think it over long and hard, can you make it on 15 cents a mile for solo miles?

I will say this though, it was nice in some aspects, company, and having someone to help with hard backs. So in that respect it was worth it, but knowing what I know now I wouldn't do it again. Plus unless you really KNOW someone no matter how long you have been friends it's nothing like living with them in a rolling closet 24/7

Yea. Like I said, my friend, who was the one I was going to team with, got cold feet and doesn't want to truck...at least not yet.
To be quite honest...I'm kind of glad we're not teaming. I was thinkikng it over and realized the whole $.15/mile thing...

I am glad that you figured it out.
Husband wife teams and such need to have a good trainer, with some connections at Central. I have met a few that got hooked up with Dole dedicated as soon as they upgraded, and got really good miles.
But outside of Dole, the other fleets, planners, and dispatchers, really don't know much about running or planning for a team. They have all been trained for solo drivers, and some trainers.

I have a buddy that is hauling coors in WA...but he's not working for central. He's actually working for Coors themselves.

Yes they have a policy, no pets lol.
They had one till...heck close to 2 years ago now. They got rid of it then. Those that had pets already under the old policy were allowed to keep them, but no more drivers were allowed to get there pets with them. Accept for lease Operators.

Lease Ops aren't allowed either unless you were grandfathered in:biggrin_2558:
