Bought my T680 in October of 2018 for $153k brand new, as well as a new Utility reefer. Paid cash for both, and both are still under warranty. I have 170k miles on them now and have yet to have any kind of problems with them which is why I bought new. I'm no mechanic.

because that old equipment has no value as collateral- when you default on the payments it is going to auction for about $0.05 on the $1.00

Think long term. Go get yourself a company job with benefits and a retirement plan preferably local or home often a teamster gig even better and put your 20 in and retire with money. Walmart is hiring right now and will pay you 80k plus.

Or play the O/O game and yes have more freedom and stories, but 95% of you doing it will not be richer in the end I don’t care what you say. Drive by any O/Os house for proof.

It’s like anything else. You’ll have some doing really well. Some doing horrible. Majority will be in the middle. Problem is when you dream you imagine being one of the really well folks and that’s not how life works. It’s like buying a lotto ticket. Sure you can win and you think you’ll win, but at the end of the day you and everyone else didn’t win.

Or even better go apprentice at Roto Rooter for two years, work for them and make 6 figures as an EMPLOYEE. It’s insane what they’re earning. Anyone in the trades right now. I know people doing it and no away from home, they have a retirement and no crazy surprise expenses.

Good luck, God bless and take off the #### mask.

Ya this guy has it right. I thought having my own truck meant taking off whenever I wanted, but it’s turned out to be working more hours than I ever worked for an employer. I still kind of like it though. Stupidity grows on a person I guess.

I recently bought a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia with 345,000 miles for $51,500. It’s a nice looking little mid roof truck. So far I love it and would buy another one again in a second. If you want something other than a Cascadia or Prostar be prepared to pay a whole lot more for it.

Lol that’s for sure. Seems like when I’m gone my wife is saying I’m never home and when I’m home she says we need more money I better go to work. She’s my book keeper though so technically I guess she’s my boss.

Because as I write this, I'm stranded at a Loves. I'm tired of fixing. It's called nickel and dimed to death.
