Coming from a different galaxy, I can honestly say that preplanning has got better. Don’t get me wrong, they’ve been telling us for the last 2 years they’re working on it. I’ve seen it get better exponentially since February when I got back from vacation. This past weekend when I got empty in Conley Ga at 5pm, my QC blew up and I’ve been preplanned from Friday through this coming Thursday. Granted my outbound load of coolers here in Richmond is still being loaded, but being preplanned for a whole week is not something we’re use too. It’s almost like these folks are taking a page out of FCC’s dispatch book.

Glad to hear that the preplanning is getting better. It makes a world of difference, especially with e logs.

Preplanning sure hasn't gotten better on my end, still gotta always park and wait after empty. I asked why they couldn't stack two or three loads on me and was told loads get cancelled. My reset is up tonight here in Reno and still no load assignment yet for tomorrow. Im not a super picky driver either.

Whelp.....that trl did NOT get back to the yard to get inspected. And I’m sure that the rookie (as in been with Abilene for a week) who is taking it to Wytheville won’t see to it that it gets done either. So, if any of y’all pull 7637, make sure the inspection is good when you get it. I sat from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm at givens waiting to get loaded. Dropped the trl at the Loves on 460 with said rookie because I was out of hours. Oh, and Abilene sure didn’t seem too concerned about it either.

My week so far since getting back in the truck on Monday:

Hill-Phoenix from Richmond to Dunmore, PA
    Deadhead to Mountain Top, PA
Gatorade from Mountain Top to Wytheville
    Gatorade from Wytheville to Indy
    Gatorade from Indy to Wytheville
Gatorade from Wytheville to Bedford Heights, OH
Vacuum cleaners from Solon, OH to Bentonville, AR, due anytime Monday

Boring and uneventful. Lotta extra time on this vacuum cleaner load, so taking a leisurely weekend.

Forgot to mention, though: Every one of those loads after the first was a pre-load. I didn't get pre-loaded for the whole week like JohnBoy, but I did get my next load assignment at least an hour before I arrived at receiver for the previous load assignment. Have not had to wait on a load assignment at all this week.

Lonesome, jarhead0311 and JohnBoy Thank this.
