Look at all the pretty colors. Where can I get one of those super heat treated liners?

I was gonna ask, that has to be a fairly recent rebuild with liners that clean and lots of cross hatch showing? Someone drop pistons in without removing squirters?

    650cat425 Thanks this.

So I just want to come back and let y’all know the issue I had with the coolant tank. The thermostat went out, but it never overheated. Thank gosh it was a simple fix, but thought I would check in and let y’all know. I’m doing the exhaust gaskets this week and let y’all know which one went bad. I appreciate the help!

    Oxbow and 650cat425 Thank this.

Yea Im not sure. This thing was towed to us about 4 years ago with a supposed fresh overhaul, but a CNS. We rebuilt the fuel system and its been a money pit for the cutomer ever since. One thing after the other every year.

Note the heavy fretting on the connecting rod cap.......it was tight. But no doubt the hammering of the rod broke the piston.

Still running and had decent oil pressure too.

Too bad a drop ins gonna way exceed what this old girl is worth.
