That's news to me. Each Province is different though. Which Province doesn't cover chemo?

    magoo68 and Ol'Shusquatch Thank this.

AFAIK, they all pay for chemo regardless of setting (hospital or home). In the hospital there is no payment issue. In the home, depending on the province, it can be a reimbursement or pre-authorization process which has a lot of paperwork.

Right and if they can't push, pull or drag you to the hospital, you probably will not need it, as you are already in the casket.
I have had the misfortune of knowing people in all three Western provinces who have had cancer. Two in SK, one in AB and now one on the way out in BC. All but one in SK had the magic formula administered and I never heard of issues, although to my knowledge all procedure's were/are done in hospital.

Thanks, but it's all good news. They cleaned it all out and she's in full remission. She's 72 but doing well. Her hair is growing back and she actually is looking to go back to work as a camp cook. Tough old bird.

I've never heard that, in Nova Scotia they hired a bunch more ortho surgeons to get thru the hip and knee backlog and the guy I got was AWESOME, and he was flat out.

Wish we could agree on an overall plan down here , but with people like pilotsee worried about her hair and secured gates at her house, we may never get our sides to find agreement for this plan.

Yeah my friends father was a vascular surgeon in Toronto and he explained it to me.The reason we have long wait times isn't because of demand it s because surgeons understandable want to get paid for their stressful work.

    Ol'Shusquatch Thanks this.
