What route did you take to get there?

Getting in was hard, getting out wasn't as bad. Asked a driver at the reciever which way I should take and he gave me a route. Although I could hear the tree branches touching my trailer. Low bridge galore in that area, many 13'4 and 13'5, didn't take my chances.

Took the N 8th street exit from 676. Made a left on N 7th Street. Right on W Girard and left on Germantown Avenue.

2.6 miles from the interstate took me 15 minutes. Cars packed on both sides of the road, Germantown had part of the road blocked off and it was a tight squeeze but I made it through.

I figured that way would work. Looking close up I didn't see any bridges besides the over pass getting off 676.....just super tight with cars everywhere Lol. I would much rather do queens or Brooklyn than Philly

I agree with you there. Des Moines is about as far east as I get now LOL. But I've been to that place he went to three or four times. And I used to go to Brooks Provisions down on Front Street all the time too oh, I don't think they even exist anymore. Pen made was another one on Red Lion Road don't know about them anymore either. Glad you made it in and out of there without anything getting torn up. Safe travels

Just an update on this address. I went here again, decided to follow my TRUCK GPS out of curiosity. Oh boy was that a big mistake. GPS gave good directions up to a certain point, gave me two impossible turns I couldn't make so I had to do squares (3 left turns) to get onto certain streets. Got to near the receiver it told me to take a left, another way impossible turn.

Ended up back tracking to the way I came in last time and it was much better.

Lesson learned, even your most updated truck GPS is no match for major cities.

Philadelphia does take the prize sometimes.

Our guys sent a 53 into South Philadelphia that has a slight tangle with a Cadillac.

Cops wouldn't come [no riots at the time] and they exchanged info only to find they shared it with the owner of a parked '83 SAAB turbo.

As the tail of the 53 swung wide and, without the driver even feeling it, the slightest edge of the ICC bumper caught the leading edge of the back left wheel well dragging the SAAB a few feet totaling this 'classic' that was painted with a rattle can...ripped the under unit body area where the 'jack pad' is located. estimate was 3x the blue book.

All to pick up a few pallets coming home to central NJ.

Insurance did consider the car, by make and age, a classic so the guy ended up getting close to 2x the blue book [some payday!] for an ugly piece of dog crap reject form a Swedish airplane factory that was considered a classic.

That cost on our insurance run amounts to about ten times what we made on that backload.

Yikes, it seems like the loads pay well both heading into Philadelphia and heading out. Wonder why companies don't take into account the risk of going into these areas and the driver totals a car?

Snapped a quick picture of the area. Literally no space to make right or left turns into single lane roads.

Older towns in Quebec are like that... but needs more hanging wires. Huge fun when you're OS too. o_O

Some side streets in South Philadelphia are so tight they can only park on one side [partially on the sidewalk] to leave room for the fire engine....the 'tiller' driver on the hook and ladder is a magician.
