Passenger side was secured with 2 chains on top corners and one more chain to prevent sliding forward at the bottom

 

Most of the machinery i was delivering had all the weight at the bottom

 

That’s the way it should be. So much of the machinery I’ve hauled they want to only let you secure by putting straps over the pallet or hook chains to the very bottom of the base.

 

Ive learned something this week. Im not really a fan of curtainside vans.

After we finished of the liftgates we couldn't get delivered till Monday. We got us a Coil, picked up a new curtainside van straight from the place that puts on the curtains. Delivered that to the terminal, grabbed another one in the terminal that was Preloaded and badly secured. Slid the sides back, fixed that (load of shingles.)

Now we are headed west with it to one of the dedicated accounts.

 

Picking up dirt, in bags, that needed tarps. Can’t strap or tarp in our yard though, so go out on the street and get after it!!!

 

like that one place in Kent that I did a lot out of....

 

I prefer curtainsides over conestogas at this point...... but I’m hauling a rather niche based freight.
