Last month they were setting it up and getting ready. Moving trailers and equipment. This week it fully open for business.
I know they have been hiring for there for over a month now.

I haven't heard much. I know they were looking for drivers for all postions. Ltl is always hiring.
There also are openings for yard dog, warehouse, and office personal.
The terminal manager's name is Rich. I don't have a phone number for him though.Ronniev1262 Thanks this. -

Yes, I stayed busy helping out. They said right now they have plenty of work not enough drivers. I am sure it will stay busy especially as they get more accounts.
Did runs mostly to Southern Va and NC for them. I did go to Lithonia (Atlanta) and back on one for them.Ronniev1262 Thanks this. -
So, basically multi stop runs unloading few pallets at each stop?
Thanks again for your help. I'm about an hour away from Rocky Mount and want to be sure it's a good fit before I make a decision.
Stay safe out there. -
One of the loads I did last week was a pick up two different places. The 1st pickup was in Roanoke, Va. Had nine pallets loaded. Then went to the next pickup that was in Salem, Va. That one I was 15 pallets. Then back to the yard.
The next day the load was 5 different drop offs in Richmond, Va with 3 pickups on the way back.
A regular local/regional driver will run harder than I did, because linehaul drivers helping out are used as overflow. Meaning we just cover if we don't have a load and they need help.
Local gets paid by the hour. Regional gets paid by the miles plus $35 for every stop.
Linehaul when helping out Local/Regional gets paid whichever way pays more.
I am not sure how many drivers they have/need. When I stop for the night I can get the drivers manager number for you to call and talk him.Ronniev1262 Thanks this.
