I use Zelle for sending money, and that works really well. I'm going to transfer my safety bonus to my bank account next time I'm home and can do it using my laptop instead of my phone.

 

Where's the engine heater plug in spot on the new trucks? I can't find it on mine, and I can't find the reservoir for the 5th wheel greaser. Don't the newer trucks have these?

 

I know they don't have the fifth wheel greaser
That's part of the A service on the newer trucks. I don't know about the block heater. They probably removed that option too.

 

With heartland now purchasing the equipment..you’re going to slowly see that heartland will turn to ordering gutted trucks..

 

Yes there have been mostly small changes with the new trucks so far. No top bunk or storage in its place. No auto greaser. Solid mounted passenger seat. Some storage drawers were replaced with open storage spots covered with netting.
Millis in house has created and will install a storage shelf where the top bunk was if you ask.

 

The did stop getting block heaters. That's going to make it interesting this winter when people go home.

 

Some of the cost cutting seems penny wise but pound foolish. No block heaters is one. No greasers requiring more frequent service is another. Some of the first batch of new trucks did not have a suspension gauge either which will require some CAT scale charges that could have been avoided. I think that was a small batch and the rest now have the gauge again.

 

Unless the temperatures get near or below 0 a truck parked without the block heater is not going to be an issue for the most part..I know from experience..

 

Why did the older trucks have them if that's the case? We were told to plug in the heaters when it got around freezing if I remember correctly.

 

Because that’s evidently what they had wanted at that time...shutting your truck off with temp at freezing 32° Will not cause your truck to not start.. The only issue for the most part I will call your truck did not start at freezing is your batteries...
