I had an I/C tell me basically this same thing last week. He was explaining that's how they get paid and some times it can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks before they get paid for a load, it just depends on how fast the billing works it's way through. He was telling me that it looked to him like Heniff wants to go to that kind of structure w/ the company drivers as well.

If this is the case, and once again no one in management is being clear about this which is utterly infuriating, it is completely untenable for a company driver who's used to having some idea of what they'll be getting paid week-to-week based on what work they've done and subsequently sets up their personal finances based on some sense of consistency. To me it sounds like Heniff might be having some inner cash flow issues if they have to wait until they get paid in order to pay their drivers. That's a very hand-to-mouth kind of system whereas Superior never seemed to have no problem paying it's drivers within a week of completed work ( provided you turned in your paper work on time ) which would suggest they had a significant enough cash reserve to buffer payroll until they received payment from the customer.

In short, if I wanted to get paid like an I/C I'd go buy my own truck!

 

Don’t hold me to it, but heniff has a lease purchase program so maybe that’s the goal, get as many company drivers to switch over to their lease program!!!

I’m not interested in leasing no truck, so they can take that lease purchase and shove it!!!

Was that a heniff ic or superior? The only time I had to wait for billing was for demurge/forced layover. Every load paid the week after it delivered depending on the day it fell on. The longest I had to wait was 2 weeks and that was rare. Occasionaly something would get missed and I would have to get it fixed, but I never had to wait because of billing.

 

From what I recall you mostly do out and back dedicated work correct? You thinking about picking the mileage plan I'm assuming by your post?

OT after 40 hours of local work with the 150 radius is a game changer as well... Just makes me wonder if the will do everything they can to keep you around 40 hours.

I'm shocked they kept the layover pay to be honest.

 

You can also pick a plan and then switch back within the first 30 days if you don’t like it. So say you choose percentage and you’re making less after the first week or two, you can change back.
