How much is the new layover per day? Still after 14 hours?

Really? That kind of negates the pay raise then. That's $2500 to $3K a year gone.

I think we have to give the first hour free when arriving at customer, after 1 hour it’s 25.00 dollars an hour, layover is still the same. A little bit more per mile (.58- .64 cent per mile) empty miles stay at .45 per mile

No bunk pay but there is a flat $80 paid for layovers on percentage. Also if a load is preloaded or delivered you pay back $25 for each.

I read that as we are paid for 1 hour that the customer gets free at the hourly rate like our 20 delivery/load pay currently.

I'm pretty sure he was a Superior IC. There could be a lot of variability between the terminals of he may have just chosen the worst examples to tell me about? I still don't know if I'd be on-board w/ the idea of doing this sort of thing w/ company drivers. For me, particularly as a rookie, the whole idea of being a company driver is that you sacrifice the hope of making the big IC checks in favor week-to-week consistency. This is why I'm inclined to stick w/ cpm over percentage given the choice.

Is there any word if you stick w/ cpm if the layover pay will still be 10hrs x $20/hr = $200/day? If not and there's a cut in layover as well as eliminating bunk pay then the raise really isn't a raise, it's just a shift in what line item they're using to pay us and could end up shaking out as an actual pay cut!

As I read it the layover on the mileage plan is the same. 14 hours before the clock starts then hourly rate up to 10 hours. It's actually $250 a day at top 10+ year pay.

So now that there has been a little time passed .......

Would you consider heniff a good company? One you would recommend? One you would drive for or "get your friends to come over to"?

I need to find a solid outfit, with job security and a future

I would recommend Heniff. The fact that almost everyone received a raise speaks well of them. I’m an IC with Superior and have noticed I have the ability to run harder and sit less than before. Getting better paying loads as well. The fuel discount is quite a bit less with Heniff, but the bump in percentage of the line haul more than covers it. It has more of a corporate feel to all the protocols now, but my pay is correct every load so far. The roll out of the central dispatch system was an absolute s*$t show though.

We'll have a better idea after the first of the year... April, May or so. Right now Superior is still on Superiors pay and benefits, so even though loaded mileage rates are higher with Heniff, I'm pretty sure there are other things Superior paid, that Heniff doesn't, so one might cancel the other out, and might even end up as a pay cut. As far as our pay and dispatch, that's still being handled by the same people we've dealt with in the past. So we'll see.
