Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

Closest I ever did to OTR was staying out in ohio for a month at a time and then a week off when i was in the oilfield. Still came back to my hotel every night.

-Been to Williston ND once, drove out and flew back
-Denton TX once, flew back Lol
And spent a week moving frac equipment around in WY CO & UT, Flew out and back on company dime. 1st class the last time I flew only cost me 100 out of pocket to upgrade.

 

...better not to touch what was going on lately in the news.
It may not be good for business, either.
Anyway, I have to go and have a drink. I am home till Monday.

 

Nice Mule Deer, and the perfect eating size. The big old monsters make for some great bragging rights and a mount on the wall, but the smaller ones are much better eating.

 

That's cool getting em involved early. My dad and gramps started taking me when i was around 8. Love some deer jerky and slim jims. We pretty much kept the loins whole and the rest went to jerky and sausage

@SteveScott soaking the meet in milk will help tender it up

 

Bow or firearm?

 

I've tried milk many times over the years as a tenderizer with very limited results. It can do wonders to reduce some of the strong gamey taste in some game, but regular milk doesn't do much to tenderize. Buttermilk works a lot better because it has a lot more lactic acid in it, which is what actually breaks down the muscle fibers to tenderize. There isn't much lactic acid in store bought milk except for buttermilk. Yogurt works well too.

 

Absolutely warms my heart to see this! With the future being so uncertain these skills are a must and having such a beautiful family to bond over it with is just icing on the cake.
