I am part of a team from Korea doing a research project at George Washington University. We are looking for truck drivers that sleep in their trucks while driving long distances in the United States. We want to understand how you avoid the cold and what kind of heating you use when you need to sleep or rest in the truck. Your expert opinion may help us develop solutions to help improve your experience in this scenario. Would you be willing to take a 10-minute call to talk with me over the phone or video conference? Please contact me at sooryong.byun@gmail.com with your interest and I will get back to you. I will give you a gift card($15) for your interview. Thank you very much.

We have ways to stay warm

A: idle the truck and use the truck heater to stay warm

B: use a APU (auxiliary power unit) for heat.

C: bunk heater (diesel fired heater in the back of the sleeper)

i used to just light up a fire. anything that burnt, was fuel for the heat. logbooks, DVR books, BOL, seemed to keep me warm.

    Just the wa
Just the way I like to sleep. Dry heat kills my sinuses

Jump in bed with just my boxers and pile on the 3 down comforters.

Wake up on the morning and fire up the Webasco and coffee pot with out even getting out from under the covers.

    TravR1, buddyd157 and Mattflat362 Thank this.

Never depend on any heat source whether your truck engine or auxilary, trucks don’t die in convenient places. I carry the most awesome sleeping bag,,,German made, good for -40
