Meh... the soybean load pays $300 and there's a $35 toll to cross the chesapeake bridge (one and ONLY route).
Cotton just sucks in general, pain in the ### to load to weight, and cheap, plus the low mileage route is through Chicago (traffic AND $40 in tolls) or 300 miles OOR, so the rate ends up sucking. Last week we grossed $6k in 7 days (awesome) this week is puttering along... hope it ends strong.Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Hey rob, tell them if they can't do better on the rate then you can't take the load! They are taking advantage of you! They know your in need of money and less experienced. This is your business not theirs.
-
very true less.have to do the same thing with ch robinson, there forever trying to ######## you on the cheaper rate, till you wheel and deal with them

shoot rob when i ran chicago i avoided the toll roads like the plauge except one time when i can out and had to head to brisol id and it costed me 40 bucks for the toll and the load at that time payed 1100,going to elizabeth city nc and then got screwed with a 270 mile dh to greenboro so there went the proffit
