300 miles out of route??? You need a new map.

BTW, you can get anywhere you want to go in Chicago or through Chicago and into Wisconsin without paying a single toll.

    53STEP and dino6960 Thank this.

I've taken that busted up side road before.. no thank you, unless it was dead of night too. 2.5 hours to get through on a Sunday.

It's not easy. Last time there was a guy underneath in the pit pulling down while another guy on top stuck a long pole straight down and through. Once they get a path from top to bottom though it starts to cave in and flow ok.

Busted up side road? That's essentially every road in Chicago, nonetheless, have fun paying your tolls then. If it took you 2.5 hours to get through Chicago on ANY day, you just don't know your way around.

Not to mention, once you get a little ways west of Chicago, you are in the cornfields and some of them Illinois state routes are good running.

On second thought, stay on the big roads and fight the traffic with the rest of the lemmings, that way you won't be in the way of the drivers that actually have a little sense.

That one always reminds me of John Belushi in the samurai skit on SNL.
