What if it Snows?

I got the harbor freight 2000 watt. Why? I bought one on line, it failed , and I didn't get a replacement. Harbor freight is every where. It hasn't failed. Still works. I wish it had a low voltage shut off. For when I'm dumb enough to leave it on , on home time.

 

I’m thinking the 1500w dedicated to the coffee pot, and 600w microwave, only one at a time. And the 1000w for the fridge, maybe a laptop or TV. It’s a tiny fridge. Bigger one eventually. From what I hear newer refrigerators don’t draw much. I’ve got a 100 amp and a 150 amp fuse for each, Going to put them on the batteries first. The cable kits have a short thinner ground, I’m guessing for the frame. I’m thinking it’s not necessary, besides I don’t see a good place to ground them anyways. They’re too short. I think it all will work and be safe. Don’t need a Truck Fire.

The fridge takes very little power. 700 watt microwave takes 1100 watts. Coffee maker the same. Can't run them both at the same time. I leave the fridge on during the day. At night I unplug the fridge. The bunk heater and fridge are a bit much on the four batteries.

 

I see they have a 3000w pretty cheap. I got the wire kits there, on sale. Like I said though, I need to use what I got. pretty soon I’m going to sell, donate or throw away everything I’m not using. Too much junk.

 

Sines the best, I hear. I plan on a surge protector, at least for my laptop

 

So if I get a couple extra batteries maybe I can run a bunk heater off the 1500w? They’re rated at that, night not work. Might need a 2000+ for a space heater. I’ll soon find out. I think I’m eventually going to get a Chinese diesel bunk heater. Pretty cheap on eBay.

 

The bunk heater came with the truck. It's wired into the semi. The fridge is like a 70 watt light bulb maybe 55 watt. If it runs thru the night with me using the heater I lose lights at like hour 7 or 8. Then I have to turn on the truck to recharge the batteries.
