Home at last... Everyone is asleep.

I spent a majority of today in my element... Alone, in the dark, on an ice and snow packed mountain road. Looked like there was one hell of a storm come through a day or 2 ahead of me. WAY more snow than there was a week ago.

Good deal, best of wishes. Congratulations. Sounds like you’ve been through hell this week, especially needing to get home. It’s good when a Company works for you, as hard as you work for them. That’s how it should be.

The little bar graph spikes at start up with the fridge maybe 300 to 500 watts. Then in 2 seconds it's drops off. It also doesn't run the whole hour. I have probably a 3.5 cu ft fridge. The microwave is on top, strapped to it the fridge just around the window line, I pulled the passenger seat, the fridge is in that spot. The worst part stuff flys around in the fridge open it up, a bit of a mess.

Actually? Laptops run on a thing called "a brick". If your using a laptop in the truck? You will be better off getting a 12v adapter cable for it. The brick is nothing more than a transformer. Want to guess what the brick converts the 120AC down to? Yup 12 volts.

Not trying to insult you. Yet a surge protector on a transformer is like having gold plated fiber optics. Its a way to make a person look foolish. A surge protector should only be needed when connecting to something other than an inverter. The headache with current from a power grid is from human interaction with the power grid. Then the rule of thumb says, if it has a digital display, it needs a surge protector. You wont have other humans tampering with your power on the truck.

What do you usually get? I have a mid roof I'm happy with low 7s pulling a van at 67 mph. Doing step I would get mid to high 8s (not normally , something tarped and low on the deck) to high 5s. Normally 6s.
