I got curious if there was a map that showed all the low bridges for Chicago. There is one available at "american map dot com" the isbn is 9780841656307, do a search with the isbn # it will come up, its only 4.95. Has anyone ever used it??

I remember going to Chicago about 10 years a go and had a heck of a time with the bridges.

Absolutely.....or at least something similar....Bought mine at the 76 truckstop just south of there my first time into town.

IF I ever go back there.......I'm not planning on it..........I'll buy another.

    Money well spent.

for low clearance routing in chicago, go to the illinois section in the front of your rand mcnally and at the end of the section their is a phone number for low clearance routing. call them, tell em where you are and where you want to go. they will give you turn by turn directions and are very helpful.

Well... It's shiny, it's quiet and rides good. But other than that, my mama always told me, "if you don't have anything nice to say..."

On some needed home time now. Putting the truck in the shop Monday, so we'll find out.

In the meantime, here's the promised ice road trucking vid

    And by the way...!

If it ever crosses your mind to skip tolls travelling US-33 east-west through West Virginia....

    DON'T!

When we got on it, the GPS arrival time was 8:25am... we got there at 11:30. Over 3 hours of 3rd to 7th gear in a 13 speed. Luckily the jakes were awesome.
