I got curious if there was a map that showed all the low bridges for Chicago. There is one available at "american map dot com" the isbn is 9780841656307, do a search with the isbn # it will come up, its only 4.95. Has anyone ever used it??
I remember going to Chicago about 10 years a go and had a heck of a time with the bridges. -
Absolutely.....or at least something similar....Bought mine at the 76 truckstop just south of there my first time into town.
IF I ever go back there.......I'm not planning on it..........I'll buy another.
Money well spent. -
Somewhere the is a city of Chicago website that has a pdf file of all of the bridge heights in Chicago,....Free to print!!,...

And by the way...!
If it ever crosses your mind to skip tolls travelling US-33 east-west through West Virginia....
DON'T!
When we got on it, the GPS arrival time was 8:25am... we got there at 11:30. Over 3 hours of 3rd to 7th gear in a 13 speed. Luckily the jakes were awesome.
