A clear, focused mind. Situational awareness. A preplan for "what if". ...

And a truck and trailer, if properly deployed in an appropriate manner, will defeat any of the previously mentioned "weapons".

Why don't you now focus on developing your skills in using the "weapon" you already possess, properly. In time, you'll become proficient.

The best weapon to have is to be 6'3" or taller with a large frame. I've yet to be threatened.

I know the feeling. You wouldn't believe how many people have asked me " how do you check a tire that way" while doing a walk around. So just to confuse them I tell ' em . "You gotta watch for how high the tire thumper bounces.. gotta whack them hard... you'll get the hang of it. "

I've never felt the need for a weapon out here. I have never felt threatened.

All my girls are near full grown now so they won't be with me on the truck anymore, but they have never felt threatened while out here either.
3 girls, and they have rotated being on the truck from ages 12 to 18 during the summer months.
Not a single problem, and they would be out on their own in the truck stops pretty often.

I have my tire thumper, which is weighted at the end. That is as good as a baton or bat, and more nimble than a bat. A baton is the chosen stick for the police as well.
I also have a fixed blade knife on my belt. About a 6 inch blade, and very sharp.
Never found the need to use either except to thump tires or cut up some meat for dinner.

    homeskillet and Tb0n3 Thank this.

The rebound is one thing, and another is the sound it makes.

Not sure what sound it would make bouncing off a head or knee. Never tried it.

Get yourself a really big solid tire thumper... you know... in case you gotta thump some tires
