I don't know brand-names but I know my fave stores:biggrin_25522: The Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul and occasionally Goodwill(but they are a little outa my league theses days):biggrin_2559: I also like those, little, French "truck" stops called Le Garage salee!! I know, "she's wacked":biggrin_25513:

Oops, forgot my "must have" and that would have to be my wool socks(from wally world)and boots(water-proof). I get those at Wally World too. Can't think of the brand but they're good'nuf! My hotflashes keep me from freezing pretty much:biggrin_25523::(

if you have to spend time working outside in cold weather, I recommend Carhardtt insulated bib overalls

they allow for much more freedom of movement, and they keep your back protected from wind/etc

usually dress in layers, and have a thermal lined zip up hoodie and good to go - but for nasty stuff you will want a good coat (carhardtt or navy pea coat - maybe water proof stuff)

Denise, we are similar in age so I know exactly what you mean, lol.

I used to go to the thrift stores here at least once a week. I have found some really good quality items there.

LOL, yep! Some of the things I find second-hand are really, good brand-names. I will have to depend on the thriftstores until I can start making some real money. Optimistic aren't I ;)

I got my name changed. I thought oregongrown sounded too much like I was a pot-head, LOL!!! I didn't realize how many people from other places think that there is a lot of pot up my way. Maybe there is but I sure didn't know it. I could never smoke the stuff when I was a kid because it made me too paranoid, LOLLLLLLL!!!:biggrin_2559:

I noticed the name change. Had to do a double take. I never really thought about that when I saw your old name, but now that you mention it, lol.
