That's great . Was that part of the raise they got this year ? I know a guy at my local terminal was telling me about the pay raises but he didn't mention the team rates

How do you like this for pay ?? Then on top of that , they get a bunch of accessory pay .

Only problem is getting hired on and getting a good bid but I read an article about UPS hiring 2000 more teams by 2022 @ 96 cpm for rail yard work

Is the image that you attached with the payrate, is that for R&L or for UPS? That is some #### good pay. Wow! Also what is rail yard work? Are you saying that teams at UPS have to work the dock on top of driving team, is that what rail yard work is?

    That's UPS pay.

Feeder drivers never work the dock.

Rail yard work is going to train yards and picking up or dropping off trailers.

If you're in Chicago, they will take you yesterday. Put in an app.

Is there a reason they can't find drivers for such incredible pay in the Chicago area? Are they running the teams so hard where they don't have time to stop every 3 - 4 hours to use the bathroom and take a shower once a day or something?

The main issue is that they are more than doubling the size of our boards.

A lot of people I have tried to bring over are entrenched at other companies and don't want to give up their seniority. Others are just defeatists and assume that UPS won't take them. Or they don't want to lower their income for a year or two. Or they don't want to team. Or they don't want to wear a uniform. Or they don't want to shave.

I have run into all kinds of reasons not to work for UPS. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the idiot for liking it here. Lol

Oh, and new teams are generally out 3-4 days. You don't have the seniority to hold a 5 or 6 day run. The new guys don't get the long runs, they get the short ones. People like money here. Lol

No idea how it works for outside carriers, but it's pretty chill for us employees.
