I’m so glad for these last 4 days being off. I really really needed it. Starting to feel like myself again. I hope everyone of you were able to recharge the batteries a little bit. It’s going to be a hard push to Christmas and then take off through 1st of the year. Looking forward to it!

In my 20's I spent a lot of time flying various places and always had jet lag. Trucking is the same in that sense when you're always on a varied sleep schedule and it takes 2-3 days to get back on schedule once you get home. Unfortunately for us, we have to start all over every week. I've always cringed when I see a potential load that picks up or delivers in the wee hours of the morning, but for the last few months, I've been willing to overlook it because everything is paying so much. We all have a price I guess.

Beautiful ride yesterday and today. I can see (again) why some people like living in the bay area of CA. That view of the bay & the San Fran skyline is pretty cool.

Anyways, my hat is off to the Broker who treated me with respect. The compensation is outstanding. The whole pick-up location, etc, was tremendous.

    Home by 1600 today.

Please be nice to Freight Brokers, they work hard for their money.

PPLC and Dale thompson Thank this.

There is definitely something in the air. I got an email from my customs broker over Turkey day, there is ocean freight backed up from Prince Rupert, Vancouver, Seattle, Oakland and Long Beach all a cross the Pacific. Container ships are having to wait up to 14 before they are assigned a berth. Containers aren’t moving out of the port due to a shortage of trucks/ chassis and storage capacity. Receivers are hit by demurrage fees, and nothing they can do about it.

It’s to a point now orders aren’t even getting loaded onto ships because there’s no ships coming back.

Who knows what is all trying to get moved, but there a LOT of it.....
