I hate multistop pickups when one of the stops is behind. My 14 is counting down and may not make third pickup today. Ask what the issue is they say there are other trucks with appt times ahead of you. If they were late they need to go to back of the line. Place is small too and trucks are piling up in here and can't get turned around.
MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
dwells40, Lonesome and jarhead0311 Thank this.

I don't think that will happen but it would be a great gesture. Thought about you the other day when the wife and I were in Wytheville, Va. We were in the Ft. Chiswell Rv Park up behind the Flying J and drove past Abeline's yard. Wishing you a safe Christmas holiday and a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year.JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Man Im thankful the VA and GI Bill paid for both my applied physics and geophysics degrees. I drive truck again after cuz I simply like this job though hate how the industry has gone and is going though. But at least I have a backup though.

Dropped loaded trailer off here at the Gordonsville WalMart DC. Hooked up to an empty dry van. Did my usual pre-trip and discovered that the right rear inner tire was completely blown out. Sidewalls shredded, could see light through the sides of the tire. Looks like whoever had it last popped it and didn't realize.
I have been driving for Abilene for four years, and there are two things about Abilene that still confuse me. One of them is the fact that we don't have a procedure to report trailers that need to be repaired unless we're actually pulling the trailer. I feel like there should be SOME process where I can call someone at the main office and inform them "Hey, there is a trailer that I am not hooked up to that needs to be repaired."
But nope, that process doesn't exist.
So in order to prevent the situation where this trailer sits here for a year and a half while driver after driver discovers the flat tire and says "Nope, not gonna be my problem", I have decided to make it my problem. Currently hooked to the trailer awaiting a repair truck.MidWest_MacDaddy, runningman0661, dwells40 and 4 others Thank this.
