Heading EB over Donner this evening weather looks like it will cooperate mostly clear. Heading back over tomorrow doesn't look as promising. Seems to be some of that white stuff in my future.

Well my front bumper died a quick death this morning... To a snow bank.
This place I'm delivering is a super tight pain in the ###. They have the OTR trucks use the very last dock, and where you have to pull up to set up for backing in off the edge of the pavement. In the summer its a mud hole and in the winter they never push the snow back far enough.
And to make things worse, when its slick the truck wants to slide sideways toward the dock as you cut the trailer around threatening to Jack-knife you. I had to dig out my snow socks (super single sized) and pult them on my steer tires just to get onto the dock. Without them I had ZERO steering control and truck just wanted to slide toward jack-knifed.
Once I'm unloaded I'm going to zip tie the remains of the bumper so it wont fall off and head for the barn... Already notified the shop that it will need replaced.Blue jeans, LoSt_AgAiN, lovesthedrive and 7 others Thank this. -
The only bad things about going over Donner in the winter is the snow, ice, caltrans, chp, the beat to death highway, and the 4 wheelers that have convinced themselves " They can do it."Blue jeans, dwells40, kemosabi49 and 9 others Thank this.
