I'm half-tempted to use a freightwaves article as a negotiating tactic one of these days. "Don't you know? You should be happy to take this load for me at X Dollars. Freightwaves says the spot market is slowing down heading into the year-end!"

 

Well, I’ve heard it all. Praxair tried to sneak in a 10% price increase on me. When I called my rep to bust his chops the excuse was......we can’t get drivers.

Well, how about put them on a decent schedule, yank the driver facing cameras and treat them like valuable employees?

I suspect that a lot of the companies with a “meat in the seat” attitude are going to really struggle post-clearinghouse. Drivers have real choices.

I went to Boston area a few times lately.
Indeed, the linguistic phenomenon there is unique and enchanting.
