Relax... That is the key to small easy corrections. You can actually make corrections faster and more accurately if your musles are relaxed... When you are tense one or more muscle groups are fighting against another causing jerky, delayed corrections.
How do you prevent rocking the truck?

Hey, so I noticed my trailer is tipped towards the passenger side, and there is a decent gap on the driverside of the skidplate/apron. I'm super light 2,000lb load and there is a wind advisory. I was a couple exits from a truckstop with a shop. What I want to know could I have caused this?

So can you guys take a look at this, and tell me what you think?
Also, I know the issue I have is an issue I need to fix, but I have only been in this truck for three weeks. Its a brand new 2020 with only 234,264 miles on it.. First automatic, and came from flatbed to reefer. I was thinking at first that was the reason(higher profile). The reason I mentioned automatic is it shifts when I'm not expecting it too, and all that torque shifting the weight. But as I'm even rolling through lots at slow speeds I can see the trailer rocking left to right alot. I have also looked at other trucks rolling through the same area and their trailers are not doing the same thing. Is it a perspective thing? Or is this play in the video a big issue. I have had the bushings on that fifth wheel bad before and this is it that it looks deeper down.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

When I'm passing another truck, I'm looking mostly at 2 things. The steer tire of the truck I'm passing to make sure it continues in a straight line, and the fog line on the road to my left to make sure I'm staying within my lane. When I'm being passed by another truck, all I'm doing is making sure the head wind in front of their truck doesn't push me out of my lane to the right as they get up to me.
The only time I tense up is when I look down to change a radio station or temp control, and when I look up there is a slight curve in the road I didn't anticipate. A few weeks ago I was driving and noticed a yellow jacket walking up my arm. I rolled down the window to flick it out and when I looked up I was straddling the center line. Fortunately there was nobody around me.OldeSkool, D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this. -

I passed a new guy the other night, (in a white Volvo by the way), he was all over the place way out on the shoulder than right up by the yellow line. As I finally got up the courage and came around him he was just sitting there staring out the window at me like I was crazy. If I looked out the windows to the side of me all the time I’d be all over the road too. You do have to watch the other truck somewhat though, because they will come over on you. I’ve been clear out in the median before in a car. The driver never knew it.
