They’re in high demand in Florida from what I can tell, we had a ‘20, all black, but when they introduced the nightfall edition especially in the wolf gray we decided to upgrade. Dealers aren’t hanging on to them long, and I think the nightfall is harder to come by so I’m guessing that’s why we had to wait. If you drive one you’ll buy one, just warning you

 

Got my year started off early, too early, left the house at 830 this morning. What typically is about a 9 hour trip took me 11, everything was good up to Atlanta then fell apart, Chattanooga didn’t treat me much better. Either way I’m settled in for the morning hoping it doesn’t get too cold overnight. Safe travels to everyone as we start the new year.

 

I like your mack. That's what me an my friends used back in the 90's for pulling end dumps. They were only day cabs. I did drive one for sharkey otr tho. Yours looks nicer than what i drove for sharkey though.

Yea I've been wanting to stop an look at the new ones. My favorite truck has always been a pete but macks are 2nd. Ya could always beat the heck out of a mack and they'd take it where as other trucks fall apart. Yea my wife an i run team and my dream job would be for us to pull end dump again with a big hood pete or a nice mack. It's hard to find team work in dry bulk tho.

 

Macks aren’t what they used to be, since the mack/Volvo merger the toughness they once had doesn’t exist anymore, I believe it’s a good road tractor and the anthem has a ton of interior room, but they don’t dominate the off-road market like they used to.

 

Tis the season of salt. That’s the name of the game here in KC. We got about 3-5 inches of snow this weekend and it’s been out to the salt mine and back til they can catch up and get us rail cars. Nothing terribly exciting going on. Least it’s not heavy metal, and it comes out good.

 

I used to make bank haulin salt from Chicago to kenosha wi. Some a the easiest money I've ever made.

 

Nothing too exciting to report, found a cool little photo spot though after loading some red rock in Alabama.

 

Nothing much here to report either except compost to Iowa in December sucks. 5 of us went up yesterday and 5 of us helped shovel out. We finally got the ok to lay down plastic so we gonna try that tomorrow. We loaded rock out of Des Moines back for our yard and gonna see how plastic works tomorrow. It can’t be any worse. Here’s proof...
