8th day (Wednesday) complete. Spent all day going over how to do workflow on the tablets. Did a couple practice loads. The classroom TE was also remote-teaching to a couple other OCs so it was kinda slow and boring waiting for everyone to get on the same page, I pick up on this type of stuff really fast so I had no trouble with it, but I understand not everyone is as tech savvy and that's okay. Starting to buy into the whole tablet thing though, def seems to make things easier.
That's pretty much all we did today. Tomorrow we finish up the workflow and take the last CFL about the workflow and I think we get our hazmat cards or something like that. Overall a pretty boring day, but I'm still learning so that's progress. Looking like Friday is the last day at the OC for most of my other classmates but I'm staying an extra week for my additional NDF training. I talked to some other TEs and they said I was going to become Pallet Jack Certified™ which is comical to me but I'm here for it. I like having licenses that say I can do things lmao.
Anyway, will have another update tomorrow.

9th day (Thursday) complete. Spent all day doing more workflow on the tablets today and finally took the CFL on it and passed it. That was pretty much it. Back at the hotel now.
Tomorrow we officially get our own tablets and I do reefer training tomorrow. Think I'll prolly have Saturday and Sunday off before I start the other training next week, not quite sure yet though. Should be fun either way.
Stay tuned.James j and Speed_Drums Thank this. -

I don't quite expect to be a millionaire any time soon fresh out of the gate, and the way my pay has been laid out for me is way better than I've been paid at any job I've had in the past so I'm cool with it.
I'm also coming to realize that with this role I've taken at Schneider, they're basically training me to be a swiss army knife which I believe will be super valuable in the future regardless of what happens. I understand that Schneider and the way they do things may not be for everyone, but for me it's great, and I'm thankful for it.born&raisedintheusa, Speed_Drums, Opus and 1 other person Thank this.
