That is a healthy home time, to say the least.

I put myself on a 12 week cycle after the rates started shooting up in July ... 9-11 weeks out, 2 1/2-3 weeks home.

    Moosetek13 and dwells40 Thank this.

I'm just outside Topeka, KS at a service area.
These places charge a high rate for staying more than 90 minutes on the toll road, and I'm wondering how long it will be before my next pplan.
Going into Sunday on a holiday weekend...

But my last load was good.
I got a 34 waiting out some weather so my hours are back, and the load had a delivery window that left me on time with no mac 22 needed.

I was happy to have a valid reason for turning down a load this morning.
New Orleans is way out of my region, and not somewhere I ever want to go.

The next was better with a Cabela's load going to Prairie du something in WI.
I've been there a couple times and it is a nice drive. Only one small truck stop around there, and the nearest after that is about 2 hours away. I've never seen it even half full.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

And my next, this, load is going to Costco in Owatonna, MN, delivering by 0400.
    I hate that.
And the first time I delivered a load there was a total mess.
I was told it was a drop, they said it is a live unload and I am late so I will have to wait to be worked in.
2.5 hours later, with many calls and CSR going back and forth, they finally said I was a drop after all.

They had told me that Swift always screws things up, telling drivers that it is a drop with bad times when it is actually a set time for a live unload.
That time it was their screw up, and they said sorry about that in the end.
But we had another fight about me taking an mt back out. They do not release empty trailers, period.
    I lost that one.
    Win some, lose some...

This one is also a drop, and I'm wondering what will happen after my 0200 wake up alarm to get there before 0400.
That is way too early for my delicate constitution.
I might just snap and go bonkers.

But I do have a load out of there.
It was supposed to deliver today at 1100, so it's late already.
A 23k Costco load, and how rare is that?!

    dptrucker Thanks this.

    Columbus, OH at the terminal.
    And trying to get home.

Home time is set for tomorrow, but I won't make it. The loads just don't line up.
I'll be picking up a load to Bolingbrook, IL tomorrow, delivering on the 11th.
It gets me closer, and hopefully the next load gets me there on the 12th.

I have a doctor appointment for the 12th to get a new BP prescription, and I will have to reschedule it now.
Almost out now of the med. Feel myself fading away, fading away...
I can last that long, I'm sure.?!

    Was that dramatic enough?
Because it seems, these days, that everyone likes a lot of drama.

I was glad to get here. I needed extra headlight bulbs.
This truck seems to go through them with a passion.
