Hmm.. That one sure must have been noisy. I have a '08 Ford Focus that I bought new. Check the brakes whenever the tires get rotated. They are just now getting down to where I think I will do the brakes soon. Maybe in March when it warms up some. 169,000+ miles on the original brakes is pretty good, I think.

IMO the money for tolls is usually well spent. It's time saved. And after you get out you'll say "but Lee that took forever... I didn't save any time..."
Traffic is horrible until you get south of DC lol. I don't drive the northeast much and I live there for God sake. I always take the Tappan Zee bridge regardless of much longer the GPS says it will take because every time I haven't I sat on I95 somewhere for 2 hours....

Do u pay for your own tolls? Im already 300 dollars deep and only halfway done. Its not money well spent. Its pure communism. How much did pa turnpike make last year ? 400 million? And what does it go to? Id rather that money go in my fuel tank or into truck parts . Not to drive on their stupid roads. We already pay a #### ton of money in fuel tax with ifta why do i have to pay for tolls as well? Atleast pa is generally easy to get around. But the further deep into the northeast u go , the harder it gets to get around tolls.

We looked in our fridge after reading your post, and there was Boston Cream pie in it. A partial one.

I dont ever use the PA turnpike unless I get reimbursed. I hardly ever run the NY thru way because it is so expensive. The Mass Pike is pretty reasonable but I avoid as much of that as possible. I84 86 and88 are my usual route through the NE

I don’t think there’s any decent way out of Joisey anymore where you won’t pay for it now that they finally got 95 by Trenton.
