This guy has lots of info about CPAP. He claim this setup will work as Uninterrupted power. His video are different but he has good info. I have the expensive $500 Freedom Batteries that are two that hook together or they sell 1 battery for like $300. I might not buy them again but I have had them 4.5 years. They fit in truck cabinet easy vs this much cheaper setup have big case you probably have to set in truck floor and hope it does slide around. If you run humidifier and heated air hose the power used goes up a lot.

On ResMed you need to turn on SMART START. That will turn CPAP on automatically when you put mask on and start breathing. If not and you lose power you have wake up and restart the machine manually.

I have a Dream Station like the OP, and it will start automatically when you put the mask on. I think in the user setting that feature can be turned off or on but they come with it turned on when new.

A curious thing. I downloaded the app. I also have downloaded the Oscar program onto my laptop where I can read the sd card. I can also check my machine each day to see that nights AHI, mask fit etc. Now I would think that the AHI etc displayed on the machine would be the same as the app which would be the same as what the Oscar program show. But they never have been. Not even once. I don't have a clue why either nor does the place where my machine came from. I had them run a report and it was pretty much the same as the Oscar showed but different than what the app or the machine itself shows. ???

It is a requirement that if you have a CPAP you can only get a one year card. Your machine should be Bluetooth enabled. Download the matching app and take the info with you to the DOT doc.

When I "upgraded" to the dream machine (liked the old system one better) I downloaded the app and didn't find it very useful. When I need info or a printout for the dot doc I just call the place I got it from and they have it ready for me when I get there.

If you download the "Oscar" program to a laptop, you can read you sd card and print out your own reports. Some docs may balk at this but few even know the difference. You can also see how you are really doing as far as having your apnea under control.

    Rickp Thanks this.
