I would like to see Love's buy and remodel some existing T/As and some of the run-down mom & pops.

If these chains would put in some restaurant chains that folks like that aren’t in the stops, i think that would help...like putting in restaurants that are regional and such..the same crap is getting old..

Just like TA/Petro was giving up on Iron Skillet/Country Pride and converting them to IHOP's.

You would hope that doesn't happen but the truth is there. They were able to close most because of Covid restrictions and a lot of them remain closed. They might not be the best to eat in but a far cry better than the fast food joints. Remember when Pilot took over Flying J and closed their in house restaurant and went with Denny's? Drivers said no way they would ever eat there but stop in one and it is always busy. So sadly they will fill up the IHOP'S too.

    JC1971 Thanks this.

Too bad it's full to overcrowded 24/7, Taco John's is basically rebranded Taco Bell. The two Love's down south at least have other choices, Monument has Arby's, Pueblo has Chesters, Subway and Godfathers Pizza.

The Town Pump across from the J is a little nicer place, tons more room, last few times I've been there, noticed the Sheriff patrolling the lot doing a slow roll with a plate scanner

No kidding. I cannot for the life of me remember which Loves i stopped at in I believe Illinois, I think it was somewhere along the 80, but it had a place that until that day I'd never heard of in my life--some middle eastern joint, can't remember the name of the place, either. But I got assisted to shawarmas and other middle eastern meal items while in Kuwait, so I'm inclined to try it when I find it. That place was good for what it was; kinda wish more stops had it...if I can just remember the name of it...

I do wish Loves would get some variety in their fast food offerings, because you're right those are the last things that we need along with more McDonald's. But then again, TA got rid of all their sit-down restaurants anyway so it's not like we would really be losing anything as far as food is concerned.
