It's snowing in Richfield too. I'd have been home before it started snowing if I'd remembered to shut my car doors completely instead of leaving 1 open enough to drain the battery. It made me appreciate not having to share a truck and be able to stay in it while waiting for help.

I was at Weedsport a week ago and saw more trailers and trucks there than I ever have. Even had to search for the load I picked up too.

Mechanics maybe an endangered species, but 2 of my former trainees are crushing it this week.
My first trainee should finish the week 4000+ miles if he added right. My third trainee should be over 3700.
First trainee quit went to Hogan did the Dollar General thing for 3 weeks realized the error of his ways and came back 2 weeks ago.dwells40 Thanks this. -
Here is some interesting news.
Mark Anthony Brewing to Build Brewery for White Claw an Mike's Hard Lemonade in South Carolina - GroundBreak CarolinasStill undecided Thanks this. -
That is interesting. Demand for their products seem to keep increasing, and I'd rather go to South Carolina than New Jersey any day.

They were the best or one of the best shops in the system. They always fixed things right the first time and would come out and take care of little problems on the fly.
I park there and could go home, leave my truck for any work while I was on hometime and it was done when I came back. Now I'm going to get stuck begging for some of these other shops to fix things and/or sit around for hours waiting for stuff to get done. All for free.
I know that some of you guys already have to operate that way because you dont live near a terminal but these are some reasons I wanted to work where a terminal was nearby. I know that eventually parking will be gone there too as they try to sell or lease it out. No where to park the truck or interchange loads for hometime. One of the reasons I came to Millis was a full service terminal close to home.
It seems as though the "Heartless" changes that weren't suppose to happen have slowly begun. Not that I was ever naive enough to believe things wouldn't change or for the worse. They always do in these situations. Particularly when the larger company answers to the stock market. It is never good for the employees. I guess I had put it in the back of my mind since nothing major had happened yet.
The other companies they bought out were flipped quickly and were no more in a very short period of time. I'm sure other more noticeable things will begin to happen as time goes on. I have suspicions of some other things to expect but since I do not know anything for sure I am not going to publicly speculate.
Millis as we knew it has begun its slow fade into history. It was good while it lasted.keen98 Thanks this. -
