Where do you shower?

We get free showers for buying fuel.

lucky us. i wouldnt trade a truck stop shower any day for the ease of otr. that local work is for very few. too me. a shower at home isnt worth 16 hour days. but my hats off to you. i know your working hard and thank you

 

take care of yourself each and every day.

eat, drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.

cut down on extra salts, sugars, fried foods.

try to get out and WALK to the truck stop building, by parking away from the building, which will force you to walk. do not become a lopsided, lazy arse trucker.

take a shower daily if possible, but try not to skip more than one day.

many times, showers are free when you fuel with x amount of gallons.

many times, if you have to pay for a shower, then DO SO.

do your laundry weekly, always have clean clothes.

taking care of your personal self and hygiene are paramount to staying healthy on the road.

simply NO EXCUSES for NOT taking care of yourself each and every day.

NEVER let your company dictate to you what you NEED to do. your off duty time is YOUR TIME.

 

At the very least have the things to do a sink bath. Everyone above is right. I sometimes had to skip a shower because of things beyond my control. I took a bar of soap and a washrag along with a change of underwear and washed. This job for some means having to park in places like rest areas or at a shipper etc. These places do have restrooms with running water. Yes, I know some are large and you have little privacy. Still, at least try. I also took wet wipes on my truck. People sweat, in just a few hours that sweat can cause some really bad BO. You MUST try to get that old sweat off you at least once a day. Just make sure to clean the sink completely when finished.

 

so you skipped a shower and washed your body in the mens restroom sinks. hmm feet in sink also.

YOU GET A SHOWER FOR EACH APPROX 50 GALS FUEL UP...
I LIKE FLYING J, ETC SO I MOSTLY FUEL UP THERE AND SO SHOWERS ADD UP IF YOU FUEL A BUNCH!!!!
WHEN I RUN I PROBABLY GET 3 SHOWERS PER WEEK ADDED TO MY REWARDS CARD, SOMETIMES I HAVE TO GET A HOTEL, I DON'T KEEP UP WITH IT BUT I ALWAYS KNOW I GOT EM AT ANY TIME.

 

I might also add that lots of drivers will give away a shower. I lost track of the times for whatever reason I could not get a shower kiosk to work. Then have someone give me one. Of course, I always paid it forward. Just no real reason to go multiple days without getting under some water.
