I agree on the wd-40 as an emergency lube for your air wiper motor. Some in the line at the motor will help and when you have time pull the supply line off the control and add a bit in there.
Also pull the exhaust filter for now as it is a restriction to the whole system and will plug more with the oil, look into putting a 8 to 10 inch piece of plastic line pointed down in it's place.

 

That looks like the dinner @cke eats 6 times a week. Lol. Except I think he substitutes a double order of green beans.

It has been a long time for me too, I just remember the fights I had with mine and the final fix.
Did you ever have to service "vacuum operated wipers? Didn't you love climbing a long hill in the rain and having to back off the gas for the count of 3 to see again? (a 1 gallon tomato juice can with a one way valve soldered in and in line with the supply side worked wonders.)

 

Better keep movin it while the moving still possible.
