Well it was bound to happen, I called into dispatch on Friday afternoon and was told to call back first thing Monday morning which tells me that I get the WHOLE weekend off. This makes me fully understand why they hire drivers that live in their freight lanes. I much rather be home getting a reset than out stuck in some truck stop. So instead of delivering on Wednesday I'll deliver on Thursday and be headed home for next weekends reset. Stay tuned for more!

Glad to hear you found a good place to work. I see your trucks all the time up on 80 and 81 - equipment always looks well maintained and the drivers seem courteous and professional. Nice to see.

Thanks jakebrake. I'm sure I've passed you up on 80/81. I seem to pass your terminal in Milton at least once a week. I can't speak for anyone else, but for myself I try to be as courteous and professional at all times.

We all know I didn't pass you, or anyone else for that matter with my lean mean Con-way line-haulin machine..lol.. Once or twice a month I end up running Newburgh but I generally run south.

I know your company has a pretty good name around the area. Always glad to hear drivers that are happy with their job and company.

They have a few W900's but they are being phased out. The trucks are governed at 68 mph.

Well, I'm psyched...I got the call from Mort in safety yesterday telling me they have my truck now, getting it prepped in the shop as we spoke, and that I'll be heading up to Pittston this coming week, on Tuesday or Wednesday. I can't wait to get started with Calex, and am going stir crazy here at home, waiting for everything to be finalized. I held out to get in here, because I think it's a good company...as I had another offer as well, about 2.5 weeks ago. So I'm looking forward to meeting you, JohnBoy, and everyone else at Calex real soon. Have a good weekend everyone and God Bless.
