The cleanest I've been to are in the Petro in Rochelle IL. Real nice people and all in all pretty clean. Dirtiest would be a dead tie for about a hundred of them. Flip flops are mandatory along with a 55 gal drum of sanitizer.

I have perfected the 3/4 gallon shower in my truck. A 5 gallon Sheet Rock Mud bucket works fine. A lttle water on a face cloth, some soap rubbed on the cloth, do your head. A little water on the cloth, wring the cloth out into the bucket. Repeat till you are clean. Do all that with the cloth over the bucket. Then dump the water on dirt. Next case. Don't dump the water where someone will walk in it.

Petro's are on the best I've seen on average. Pilot's are the worst.

the worst place I've ever tried to shower was the Exxon Truck Stop along I-45 in Ennis, Tx. It had just rained when I got there, the lot was mud. The restroom was also the showers, certain stalls had a shower in them. The floor was covered with bugs, in the shower you stood on a wooden mat that was cracked, got a ###### splinter in my foot from it. Next night when I opened my carry bag at the hotel in Houston where the company overnighted me, I found at least 10 bugs crawling inside.

Yeah, I really like Whites Truck Stop in Raphine, Va. I usually stay the night there on my way to Allentown, Pa. An old school, Mom and Pop stop with good food, showers and a decent lot.

I wonder if Flying J's will get worse once Pilot is firmly in control...

lol, really? I never went there before it was a TA.

but....the mechanics there are morons. Went there to get a tire changed. Was told it was fine. (recap was starting to seperate!). While we were there, an injector went out. was told it was just a fuel filter. changed fuel filter, still ran like crap and light still on, they said "oh you just need to reset the light" (freightliner columbia check engine light cannot be reset...fully automatic....)
