    Comments and suggestions always welcome:
I just finished my first week of school. I have submitted applications to many company's but I am most interested in Maverick, Roehl, and TMC. Although I have received a response from Falcon. The teenage Swift recruiter was at the school recently, he really pissed me off. I asked him if they paid practical miles or HMG/RM, he asked me if I have ever driven before. When I didn't answer him( I guess he asked because he thought I was old) he asked me if I knew the difference. What a bonehead! Swift needs better reps! Anyway the point is I won't be forced to go with a school (choice?) I will decide on my own or drive a forklift. I have a good feeling for Maverick as I have read ALL the posts both good and negative. I haven't found anything on Roehl Southern Flatbed but hope it would be as promising as the van division, TMC recruiter was much more forthcoming than the recruiter I talked to that seemed to not really care about a perspective driver at TMC. Maverick recruiter was very helpful.
    Whar thought's are out there?

The guy at the other place (I won't mention the name) had no clue. This to me was an indication of how the company was run. Rob from Roehl was squared away and knew what he was talking about. My email address is in my profile if you want more info. If I do this I will being doing training and the whole thng at Roehl in WIsconsin.

This is my first time I have posted a message on these boards on any board, in fact: so here goes!:biggrin_255:

I am planning to attend truck driving school as soon as my funds are released by the Workforce project I am working with. But there is one snag! The workforce Agency requires a prehire letter letter from a trucking company. That is a letter stating they will hire me when I complete the schooling.
Fine, but the companies I have applied to want a ten year work history, which I don't have, because I have not worked for that long.
    So catch 22.
    Any suggestions?

If you don't have a 10 year work history like me, you just put all the jobs you have held since you began working. I hope you get pre-hired. Good luck.
