Anyone know how strict they are with the background check through hire rite? How far they go back. Dont have any felonies or anything but o dont remember the exact dates of my previous employers so i estimated arnd the time i thought i was working there. Ive always done that and it hasnt been an issue but this process seems a bit more strict.

Do you have tax returns? Those will give you a pretty accurate account of employment history.

You can order your own copy of the hire right report. I did. Then write out the dates on a table with the information you need and bring the paper with you.
I recommend:
Company—Company Address—Company Phone Number—Hire Date—Last Day—Rate of Pay—Reason I left
Also, where you lived the last ten years. Addresses and dates. -
HireRight gets a crummy rap because of their history with the famed DAC reports and what not, but I do think they are fair and are relatively easy to deal with (at least in my experience).
The one time I dealt with HireRight they struggled to verify two of my previous employers. They requested paystubs and or W-2s for that employer. I still had access to my old pay stubs and sent them the first and last paystub with the company.
If you give them a date of say... started January 2010, ended January 2012, and you actually started in February 2010 and ended December 2011 (just for the sake of illustrating a harmless discrepancy). HireRight upon discovering the discrepancy will flag that employer in the report as "Client Review Requested", and they will provide the details on what they could verify and put the ball in the court of the company requesting the review.
Knowing that you are fuzzy on the dates, just give your hiring manager the heads up about it showing as a possible discrepancy or if you have direct contact with HR, advise them as well via e-mail.
Small bump in the road but nothing that will prevent you from getting on with OD, which, by the way is awesome so congratulations on landing a spot there. I hold OD in very high regard.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.
