I must add that our load stayed dry for 2.5 weeks... and sitting outside in below zero weather for the week, thru rain snow and ice , our concrete arrived in powder form..i was quite proud of myself.... The dude at the jobsite was cool about it... said they were backed up with shipments because of bad weather...

our tarping skills came in handy for once, they even took it off my trailer and put it under another tarp , rather than in the mud like every other place i take tarp loads too..

That has to aggravate the hell out of a knuckle dragger. Work to keep a load waterproofed, only to see it set out in the elements at delivery.

I was going to send him to my favorite Vietnamese Owned Seafood Carry out. He said he doesn’t like fish. I assumed he doesn’t like shrimp, crab or crawfish, either. They have some of the best fish, 3 pc. for $2.25. I get 2 orders every time. Good Chicken too. Superking Seafood Hammond La. Tell them 7 mile from Detroit sent you. They’ll hook you up with a deal.

Oh well, the Load of the Century didn’t happen. I didn’t think it would. That old saying “ Too good to be true”. $3300 for 115 miles. Same day p/u and del. Filled out the Brokers packet. Biggest PITA I’ve ever seen. I think it was a ploy to get Carriers set up. Maybe someone’s twisted humor. Oh well, headed home with a load of water. Debating on going to Phoenix or Maryland. Wondering, I don’t think I’d need chains, would I? Running 70-44? Weather ought to clear up by the weekend maybe?

But it was still $3300. And if that was 3 days or less, you did pretty good.
